Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma, has inaugurated 332 Local Government Area and Ward Prosperity Coordinators.
The coordinators comprise 27 Local Government Area coordinators and 305 Ward coordinators.
Uzodinma spoke on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, during the inauguration ceremony at the Sam Mbakwe Executive Council Chambers in Owerri.
The governor said the coordinators were selected on merit and urged them to identify with the challenges confronting their respective communities.
“The problems of your people are your problems. The problems of government are also your problems,” Uzodimma said.
He urged the coordinators to work together, describing the All Progressives Congress (APC) as one family, while encouraging them to promote the interests and programmes of the administration without fear.
Uzodinma also directed the coordinators to mobilise support for APC candidates in the forthcoming 2027 general elections.
He urged them to take the message of voting for APC candidates for the presidency, Senate, House of Representatives and House of Assembly to the grassroots.
The governor assured the coordinators that the state government would provide the materials and other support required for them to effectively carry out their responsibilities.
He congratulated the appointees and urged them to remain committed to the administration’s prosperity agenda as they return to their respective communities.
In response, Hon. Nnadozie Chukwuemeka, on behalf of the coordinators, thanked the governor for the appointments, describing them as a call to service.
He assured that the coordinators would work diligently to support the administration and ensure that its policies, programmes and achievements reach the people at the grassroots.
