Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has uploaded the preferred and approved logo of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC).
Seriake Dickson, Founder and National Leader of the NDC, in a statement on Tuesday, said the development was in compliance with an order of a Federal High Court and in line with the constitution of the party as ratified by the NDC National Executive Committee (NEC).
The former Bayelsa State governor commended the Nigerian Judiciary and INEC Chairman, Professor Joash Amupitan, alongside members of the electoral commission, for complying with the court judgment.
He praised NDC National Chairman, Senator Moses Cleopas, members of the NEC, candidates and other party members for their efforts and understanding throughout the process.
According to Dickson, the uploading of the approved logo would enable NDC candidates to proceed with the printing of campaign materials and continue their consultations and campaigns with greater certainty.
“Our approved logo has now been uploaded, and candidates can print campaign materials and continue their consultations and campaigns with certainty”, Dickson said.
The former Bayelsa State governor pointed out that the NDC leadership remained committed to seeing the process through, adding that the party had resisted attempts to use the judiciary against it.
Dickson said the party is committed to fighting in the interest of Nigerians until the end, maintaining that they have resisted those who sought to use the judiciary against the party. ,
