The members of the Indigenous People Of Biafra, IPOB, on Monday, staged a heavy protest in Aba, Abia State.
They are protesting over the killing of christians and Biafrans in Nigeria, according to reports.
According to reports, the IPOB members defied different military checkpoints with Biafra flags and other items.
9news Nigeria had reported that President Muhammadu Buhari through his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, said IPOB members are using cover of Christianity – and calling for a US Special Envoy to be appointed to stop the “genocide” of Christians in Nigeria. But the real purpose is to drive a wedge between the Nigeria government and its US and UK/European allies.”
Reacting over the petition, Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the group said its members have destroyed Nigeria and by the time they are done with them, the name Nigeria will cease to exist.
