A 17-Year-Old Teenager Fakes Own Kidnap, Demands N2m From Parents In Delta

A 17-yearr-old boy Ade Segun, who planned his kidnap with his friends, Precious and Nonso, to defraud his parents of the sum of Two million Naira (2,000,000) has been arrested in Delta state.

The spokesperson of the State Police Command, DSP Bright Edafe, disclosed this on his Twitter page on Friday.

Edafe went on to say that the suspects parents reported the case at Warri station where the female officers pretended to pay the ransom.

He said, “The suspect, Ade Segun, planned his own kidnapped along side two of his friends, Precious and Nonso, called Ade’s parents and demanded the sum of N2,000,000.

“The parents reported at the station in Warri, where a woman police played along, pretending to pay the ransom money.

“When the undercover policemen got to the location, they laid ambush and one of them, Precious came to pick the money. “He was rounded up and arrested. He took them to the hideout where Ade and his other friend were arrested and confessed that it was all planned”.
