FCT: The Abuja Nigeria has recently launched out a New joint task force to curb the continuous insecurity and criminality bedevilling the area.
This is Inline with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s resolve to restore the safety of citizens on Nigerian roads across the country.
Strating with the team service in Abuja Nigeria, Abuja now has a new Commander IRT, DC Mohammed Sanusi.
Rescue Emergency Numbers have also been made public for Abuja residents to call for speedy intervention of the police joint task force.
The team has arrested many kidnappers and recovered arms and ammunition, many of which were displayed recently as gathered by 9News Nigeria.
Just two 2 days after the launching of the Special Intervention Squad (SIS) in Abuja, by the IGP, IRT has picked 2 gun runners and 4 suspected kidnappers who terrorise the FCT and neighbouring communities.
Information reaching 9News Nigeria has it that the operations are still on and details are expected to come soon, as the special force intend to brief the media/Nigerians on these developments.
