Distinguished Senator Stella Oduah will on Saturday be conferred with the prestigious Royal Title of Ogbaru Kingdom by the Council of Ogbaru Traditional Rulers and its Development and Socio Cultural Association in Honour of her Public and Philanthropic services to the community and the Anambra North Senatorial District at large.
This was contained in a letter of notification from the Ogbaru Traditional Council, signed by His Royal Majesty, Victor C. Awogu Atamanya of Ossomela who presides as the Chairman Ogbaru Council of Traditional Rulers.
Notably according to the letter is her role in being the pioneer Champion and sponsor of the newly signed South East Development Commission ( SEDC ) Bill.
According to the eminent Leader, Stella Oduah OON who served as a Senator in the 9th Senate who will be conferred with the Royal Title of “Omu” was nominated owing to her long standing sterling achievements in the provisions of democratic dividends in addition to championing the cause of welfare, security and infrastructural development of Ogbaru people.
According to details of the epoch event His Royal Highness Chuma E Onyia the Agaba idu VI Okakwu of Odekpe Kingdom will serve as the Chairman of the occasion.
Other prominent Traditional leaders billed to grace the occasion are; HRH Dr. N. Esimai igwe Ohita; HRH Oduah Lawrence O lgwe Akili Ozizor; HRH Fidelis Onumonu lgwe Umunankwo; HRH Fidelis Odebe Igwe Mputu; HRH Ngoddy Azuka .A Igwe Atani; HRH Nwafili Ikechukwu Igwe Akili Ogidi; HRH Patrick Nwasike Igwe Obeagwe and HRH Barr Ijomah V.O Igwe Ochuche Umuodu.
The event is also expected to witness the attendance of Top Government functionaries, business and social personalities.
Torrents of congratulatory messages are already pouring in for the former Lawmaker as they described her conferment as worthy and timely.
Oduah has since received congratulatory messages from Ogbahu development and cultural studies association; Umu Ogbahu people association and Ogbahu oma.

“You have earned this title and this prestigious title is FREE and it is in recognition of what you meant for Mankind”.
“From the construction of basic Infrastructures like schools , roads , water and empowerment you have indeed proven yourself worthy of this recognition”.
Oduah , a Two time Senator of the 8th and 9th Assembly served as Minister of Aviation from July 2, 2011 to February 12, 2014 provided quality leadership to her community and proffered practicable economic guidance to the subnational and Federal Government of Nigeria.
Aside from bringing succour to his people of Ogbaru through welfare packages, empowerments and provisions of infrastructure and social amenities, Oduah has been standing with the people of the area during their adversities.
