Adeleke leads as 2 candidates emerge at Osun State PDP factional guber Primaries

Senator Ademola Adeleke and Prince Dotun Babayemi emerge as respective candidates of two factions of the People Democratic Party – PDP primaries election in Osun State.

The two camps held their Primaries today Tuesday 8th March 2022 at Osogbo the State capital.

Adeleke faction is backed by the National Working Committee NWC of the People Democratic Party PDP, while Babayemi faction has the backing of the former Governor of the State, Alagunsoye Ayintola.

Senator Ademola Adeleke faction held the election at Osogbo City Stadium and leaders of the Party who attended the Primaries were: Chief Ajugbe, Prof. Wale Aladipo, Hon. Bunmi Yenyo, Hon. Clement Akanni, Alh Gani Olaoluwa among others.

Prince Dotun Babayemi faction held her own primaries election at WOCDIF Event Centre in Osogbo and had the attendance of Party leaders such as the former Governor of the State, Olagunsoye Oyintola, the former Deputy Governor of the State, Chief Shuiab Oyedotun, Chief Olu Alabi, Chief Tajudeen Oladipo among others.

While Prince Dotun Babayemi scored a total of 1781 votes, Senator Ademola Adeleke had 1887 votes.
