Emeka Rollas, the National President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), expressed his heartfelt appreciation to President Bola Tinubu for his support in the recovery process of veteran actor Zack Orji, who has traveled to the United Kingdom for post-surgery assessment. The statement was released by the Guild’s Senior Special Adviser Media/Press Secretary, Femi Durojaiye, and shared on Emeka Rollas’ Instagram page.
In the statement, Emeka Rollas conveyed his gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for his fatherly intervention in the health matters of former AGN President Mr. Zack Orji. He also acknowledged the caring nature of First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu and the unwavering support provided by the President’s son, Seyi Tinubu.
The statement read, “On behalf of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, the National President, Dr. Ejezie Emeka Rollas, has expressed deep appreciation to President Bola Tinubu for his fatherly intervention on the health of the former President of the Guild, Mr. Zack Orji, who has departed to the United Kingdom for post-surgery assessment.”
Furthermore, the statement recognized the efforts of Uju Kennedy, the Minister for Women Affairs, and Ahmed Bala, a longtime friend of Zack Orji, for their relentless support in ensuring his recovery and standing by him throughout the entire period.
Emeka Rollas also expressed appreciation for Tinubu’s dedication to uplifting the creative industry. The statement acknowledged the unprecedented support that President Tinubu has been providing to the creative sector, demonstrating his determination to enhance its relevance and benefit both practitioners and the national economy.
It was reported by 9News Nigeria that Zack Orji, the veteran Nollywood actor, has traveled to the United Kingdom for post-surgery evaluation. Emeka Rollas confirmed that Orji successfully underwent two brain surgeries and dismissed rumors of the actor’s death.
Recall that Zack Orji was rushed to the hospital after collapsing in his toilet in Abuja in December 2023. He subsequently underwent two successful brain surgeries.
