A’Ibom Gov establishes 3 free locations in the State to watch AFCON matches [Photo news]

The Akwa Ibom State Governor Pastor Umo Eno has established three locations in the State for sports and football enthusiasts residing in Akwa Ibom to watch all AFCON matches free.

The free viewing centres are located in the three senatorial district of Uyo, Eket and Ikot Ekpene.

A sport enthusiast in Uyo the Akwa Ibom State capital, Obinna Maduka-Kalu said “this is true governance indeed. Making the people having a sense of governance. For me it’s to add value to the dividend of democracy. How I wish all Governors can be as simple and down to earth as this man”.

“Can you see the number of persons coming to view football here? And at this time where fuel cost N670 in Uyo, how many litres would you buy to watch a math from beginning to the end?”

“Governor Umo Eno have saved of of that stress. Since the beginning of AFCON matches, thousand of people gather here everyday to watch the match free. Not only in Uyo, it’s the same thing in Ikot Ekpene, Eket and in the Governor local government Council premises in Nsit Ubium LGA”. This show of patriotism and concern of the common man should be emulated by other Governors” Maduka-Kalu appealed
