In his traditional Pre-Budget briefing before the House Committee on Economic Planning and Development, Hon. Commissioner Ministry of Economic Development and Ibom Deep Seaport Mr.Akan Okon made it clear- it is time to put in place a development plan of Economic policy for Akwa Ibom State.
The Akwa Ibom State Commissioner for Economic Development and Ibom Deep Seaport, Mr.Akan Okon led a delegation from the ministry for a Pre-Budget discussion before the House Committee on Economic Planning and Development chaired by Hon.( Barr.) Esse Gerald Umoh.
The discussion was on the actualization of the framework of Economic Policy,that would provide a stable platform for sustenance and growth in our Economic sector.
In the delegation was the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Economic Development and Ibom Deep Seaport-Mr.Effiong Ekpenyong, Directors from the ministry, the General Manager, Akwa Ibom State Agency for
Community and Social Development (AKSACSD), Mr Ishmael Akpan.
In attendance also at the discussion were other members of the committee.
