Akwa Ibom Govt signs MOU for Oil, Gas Free-Zone with OGFZA

A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed for the establishment of Liberty Oil And Gas Free Trade Zone in Ikot Abasi local government area, Akwa Ibom State.

The signing – which took place on 20 May 2021 at Government House, Uyo – was between the State government and the Oil And Gas Free Trade Zone (OGFZA).

Secretary to the State Government Dr Emmanuel Ekuwem did the signing for Akwa Ibom while OGFZA’s Managing Director/CEO, Umana Umana, signed for the organisation.

With Dr Ekuwem was the State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice Uko Udom, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) and the Commissioner for Trade and Investments, Prince Ukpong Akpabio.
