Al-Makura donates N35m to Chairmanship Candidates, others in Nasarawa ahead of 2024 LG polls

Former Governor of Nasarawa State, Senator Umar Tanko Al-Makura has donated the sum of N35 million to the All Progressives Congress, APC to prosecute its campaign ahead of this year’s Local Government Elections scheduled for November 2nd.

Senator Al-Makura who represents Nasarawa South in the 9th Nigerian Senate made the donation at the party’s Zonal campaign rally in Lafia, Nasarawa State.

A statement by his media aide, Salihu Abdullahi Osuko, gives the the breakdown of the donation to include N5 million each to the 5 Chairmanship Candidates of the party’s in the zone and N1 million each to party’s Local Government officials, while the remaining N5 million for the State Working Committee of the party.
