Infrastructure development is the construction and improvement of fundamental services with the goal of sparking economic growth and improvements in quality of life.
Infrastructure development involves any type of infrastructure including transportation, energy, water, digital, social, and green infrastructure.
“Similarly, infrastructure improves efficiency, productivity, quality of life, then makes a region more competitive in acquiring top talent and headquarters of large firms. For instance, education improves innovation and workers’ productivity. Health system can reduce sick time, then gives society the sense of well-being that is innoculative”.
“Therefore, when these are not properly put in place, development downsizing takes place which brings about decay in economic growth like we are presently experiencing in our dear state, Anambra state. The APGA led government failed woefully to address this area of infrastructure development”.
“Therefore, to address this poor state of infrastructure development we are experiencing in Anambra state today, an encyclopaedic leader, Amb. Ike Oligbo (Ike Anambra) PDP Frontline gubernatorial aspirant for Anambra 2021 in his gubernatorial manifesto promised to address this area of infrastructure development if supported to become the next governor of Anambra state. He Also promised to create enabling environment for businesses to thrive, and once that is done, the issue of youth unemployment will be brought to a minimal level. Amb. Oligbo will also engage in massive infrastructural development that will attract foreign direct investment (FDI), and at the same time encourage local businesses. There will also be strong public and private partnership (PPP) where necessary for effective and efficient governance in Anambra state”.
