ANAMBRA 2021: Students rally for Sen. Ifeanyi Ubah, call for end to ASUU strike.

Ahead of Anambra State 2021 guber election,the campus leaders of IFEANYI UBAH STUDENTS SUPPORT GROUP on Saturday the 17th day of October 2020 met at Nnewi the industrial city of Anambra State to discuss the affairs of the movement concerning the gubernatorial ambition of her Patron Sen. Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah (Ikemba Igbo).

The students leaders who came from different higher institutions within and outside Anambra State took time to praise the achievements of Sen. Ifeanyi Ubah in the 9th senate and commended him for his distinguished performances inform of bills,motions and infrastructural developments.

Speaking during the meeting, the national coordinator of the group Comr. Amobi Okonkwo commended the leaders for their commitment,dedication and steadfastness so far in the affairs of the distinguished senator. He challenged them to keep up on the mandate of the group to ensure that a student-friendly governor takes over Agu Awka come 2021.

The group through her director,contact and mobilization Comr Igwe Ogbonnaya used the medium to appeal to Federal government and ASUU to end the 7 months strike which have stifled the educational system of the country. He also appealed to the distinguished Senator to lend his voice to the call by Nigerian students for ASUU to call off the lingering strike.

Another appeal made during the meeting came through the campus coordinator in charge of Akanu Ibiam Federal Polytechnic Afikpo which was based on the EndSARS protest that rocked the country since the beginning of October. He called on the Federal government to harken to the voice of Nigerian youths.

The group strategized on the better means of promoting Sen. Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah in all the higher institutions in Nigeria. They focused their discussions on Anambra 2021 guber and drafted their work plan ahead of the election.
Campus leaders turned up from Unizik,FUTO, COOU,OKOpoly,Akanu-Ibiam poly,Paul’s University,Tansian University, National Open University,Anambra poly,Delta state poly,UNN to mention but a few. The group is ready to campion the affairs of Senator Ubah and mobilize Nigerian students to support his guber ambition.

The chief sponsor of the group Mr. Stephen Mbachukwu(Gosife Nnewi) hosted the students with refreshments and words of encouragement.

Prayers were offered for the distinguished senator and for the security of Nigerians especially during this tough time.
