~ Voters Turn Out Enmasse (Despite Short Notice) To Welcome Senator Ubah .

While Ndi Anambra were wondering at the unusual quietude and lack of campaign activities going on in the camps of the various candidates jostling for the seat as the next Governor of the State. The candidate of the YPP, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Ubah On Sunday descended on Abagana in Njikoka Local government area with pomp and pageantry amidst chants of joy from pedestrians and motorists alike . The atmosphere became super charged as the convoy of the Distinguished Senator arrived the palace of the Igwe Ndi Abagana.

The Senator who stormed Njikoka at the invitation of a major young progressive stakeholder, Chief Dr Chinedu Anthony Umeadi ( Agunechemba Abagana ) later moved from the igwe’s palace to Igwebuike Primary School where the various structures working to deliver him converged to receive their flag bearer.
The atmosphere that took over the arena on the arrival of the Senator at the primary school field was better seen than imagined as chants of ” our incoming Governor” rent the air.

Highlight of the occasion was the official defection of some transition committee members (councillors) and party members of the opposition ,APGA and APC to the Young Progressives Party (YPP).

In his speech at the event , Senator Ubah informed his listeners that the reason why his opponents are afraid of his participation in the Governorship race is because they know that he is going to trigger great transparency in the way and manner government bussiness is conducted in the State. He went on to reiterate his commitment towards the conduct of local government elections in his first six months in office while also declaring that any governor that shrouds his security vote accounting process in secrecy is no different from an armed robber.

Dr Umeadi, in his speech assured the Senator that himself in collaboration with other party stakeholders in Njikoka are going to do everything possible to deliver the votes of Ndi Njikoka to him and added further that his track records and antecedents gives him the edge above other candidates for the elections and makes their day efforts a whole lot easier.
Indeed a new Anambra is coming with Senator Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah.
