Less that twelve hours after the inferno caused by Fuel Tanker explosion at the Berger area of Lagos State, five persons have been confirmed injured in an early morning head-on collision between a fuel tanker and a trailer on Friday. The tanker was laden with Kerosene, a highly flammable or volatile hydrocarbon liquid.
The spokesperson for the Federal Road Safety Corps, Mr. Bisi Kazeem, who confirmed the incident, said the victims had been taken to the hospital.
“No life was lost,” Kazeem said.
The spokesman said the accident happened at 8.57am local time, and that the Corps were notified within two minutes of the incident, while first responders arrived the scene in 14 minutes at 09.13am which helped in averting the a reoccurrence of yesterday’s type of disaster.
