Imo INEC has cautioned the All Progressives Congress APC party and the People’s Democratic Party PDP on Mutilating the results of the Ngor Okpala Bye-Election going on in Earnest across the polling booths in the area.

This was on a tip off by reliable source that the parties are politiking in various capacities to win the election. Some Unidentified persons were also spotted as imported elements in Ngor Okpala.

INEC has therefore warned both APC and PDP to play by the rules of the election while waiting to make the official declaration.

However the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has cautioned the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on its deceptive and anti-democratic act of mutilating and importing result sheets used in the last Anambra State gubernatorial election for the ongoing Ngor-Okpala State Constituency By-Election in Imo State.

Speaking to our correspondents in one of the polling units in Ngor-Okpala LGA, Imo State, an officer of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) stated that the activity of the media handlers of the PDP participating in the ongoing by-election has become an act of stupidity and sabotage of electoral processes in the ongoing State Assembly Constituency by-election in Imo State.

“We are disappointed in the disgraceful act of mutilation and fraudulent importation of election result sheets by the Peoples Democratic Party in this election.

What we have seen is a situation where result sheets used in the last Anambra State gubernatorial election were mutilated and fraudulently imported to peddle propaganda in the ongoing by-election here in Ngor-Okpala.

It is childish and we warn them to desist from it.” – INECReacting to the electoral process of the ongoing by-election in Ngor-Okpala LGA, a voter Mr. Nnamdi Okeh said the process is going well. “The election is going on fairly and peacefully” said Mr. Nnamdi Okeh.

Other voters also said in unison that the election is going on well without any form of intimidation nor violence.

They also thanked the Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma for not interfering in the electoral processes of the election but worked to provide a conducive environment for the by-election.
