A man identify as Johnson Sunday was allegedly stabbed to death by his apprentice, Udeji Bright in Ogiriga commuinity, Okpella in Etsako local government area of Edo State.
It was gathered that the incident occurred on Friday night March 21, 2025.
According to Facebook user who shared the details about the tragic incident, an eye witness, both men were reportedly fighting over a teenage girl.
“Mr Odeji Bright is an apprentice to Mr. Johnson Sunday (deceased) who is a trailer drive. It was said they were fighting over a girl who is said to be just 16-17 year-old or there about.
Mr Johnson Sunday was stabbed from the back around 11 pm last night.
The suspect is said to be in police custody for further Investigations.
It was gathered that the incident has caused tension in the community.
According to reports, as a result of the tragic incident, angry youths set ablaze a house belonging to the suspect’s father in the community.
