Troops of Operation Whirl Stroke have arrested a suspected criminal linked to an attack in Agasha village, located in Guma Local Government Area of Benue State.
According to a statement by the Joint Force, the operation was carried out on March 13, 2026, after security operatives received credible intelligence about an attack on a resident identified as Shaapera Seeta Michael.
The Task Force said the suspect was apprehended during a targeted operation aimed at restoring peace and preventing further violence in the community. The military reaffirmed its commitment to protecting lives and property across the region.
This development comes amid ongoing security operations in part of Benue State, where troops have recently intensified patrols, foiled criminal activities, and arrested other suspects linked to cattle rustling and armed attacks.
Authorities have not yet released full details about the suspect’s identity or possible accomplices, but investigations are ongoing.
