Nigerian Army has successful rescued Reverend Father Ephraim Yakubu, who was abducted on December 3, 2025.
Military sources confirmed that troops traced the kidnappers to Miango axis of Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State, where they engaged the criminals in a fierce gun battle.
During the operation, the clergyman was discovered tied beneath a rocky outcrop, visibly weak but alive.
Reverend Yakubu sustained varying degrees of injuries and is currently receiving treatment at 3Division Medical Services and Hospital (3DMSH), Jos.
Troops also recovered a fabricated rifle and eight rounds of 9mm ammunition from the scene.
