This was why God completed everything in creation and made them ready before he created man, both male and female. Thereafter God gave them dominion over everything he had created.

But the devil being jealous of man and desiring to put man under his evil control and deprive man of all that God has made available to him deceived man into sinning against God.

Man that was originally planned to have dominion and live forever became dominated and destined for death.

“Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.”

God demonstrated his love for humanity that he created by sending his son Jesus Christ so that through him there shall be atonement for the sin of man and redemption from the wages of sin which was death.
