The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, has said it would not call off the ongoing strike until the Federal Government yield to its demand.
The President of the union, Prof Biodun Ogunyemi, stated this on Sunday in Lagos while briefing newsmen on the update of the about two-month-old ongoing union industrial action.
He said the federal government had not shown reasonable commitment so far to resolve their differences.
According to him, ASUU strike shouldn’t be a threat to the 2019 elections and therefore, the strike should not be politicized in any way.
