Groups of BENIN YOUTHS have in their numbers trooped out to stop the Edo state governor, Mr Godwin Obaseki over his plans to build Edo museum without the approval of Oba of BENIN.
The youths, after the Tuesday rampage have insisted that the Royal Museum be built directly opposite the Oba of BENIN palace.
9News Nigeria reports that the youths have threatened to stop work adding that any structure that must be set in place must be guided by the Royal home of the Oba of BENIN.
Collins Osaghae told us that the youths will resist any further attempt by the state government to preside or decide where the proposed artefacts will be sited.
Recall that Edo state governor, Godwin Obaseki have unleashed Government plans to set up the Edo Museum of West African Arts that will house the REPATRIATED artefacts.
At the time of this report, moves to pay a royal visit to the Oba of BENIN was on high gear.
