Personal Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Social Media, Lauretta Onochie, has mocked those calling for referendum, saying Nigerians are ready and “we all know the result.”
Onochie’s call is coming at a time when the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu and several others have been calling on the Federal Government to conduct referendum.
However, Onochie said Nigerians will vote during referendum to decide if the country should breakup or not.
Onochie made the assertion on Sunday via her Twitter handle, @Laurestar.
She wrote: “It’s the break up of our country you want. So all of us will vote. ‘We will all decide if we want to break up or not. We all know the result.”
Responding to a twitter user who asked her “How can we know the result until we vote if it will ever be that simple?”
In her response, she said, “What do you know about referendum? Every Nigerian of voting age will vote. We will just allow Kwara or Lagos state to defeat you squarely.”
