In the video below, Kanu made an incredible speech today in Ohawfia. Kanu spoke in Igbo, so if you dont speak the language, you wont understand what he said.
Kanu lambasted the Arewa youths and their quit notice saying that it was hypocritical that people like that could not be arrested but his co-accused, Nwawuisi, Bright Chimezie, Chidiebere Onwudiwe, Ben Madubogu were in jail for doing nothing. He told the crowd that Nigeria is owned by Hausa-Fulani and anyone who professed to be a Nigerian had condemned themselves to slavery.
He went on to say that nothing connects Biafrans and Hausa Fulani stating that it was the accident of colonialism that put Igbos in one country with Hausa-Fulani.
Kanu used the recent NNPC appointments, as an example, where most of the appointments were notherners while few were from the minorities while none were Igbos. Kanu asked the crowd how this is possible when there was no Oil in the North?
He praised the Ohawfia people for their turn out and their rich cultural history.
Kanu ended the speech with a prayer and the crowd fell silent to which they shouted ISEEEEEEE!!!
Remarkably, the next man to speak was an Igede man who professed to be a Biafran
Ohawfia war dancers then performed for the crowd
