Bitcoin Chief vows to resist IDP Relocation from North to Southeast

Entrepreneur and social commentator Gaius Chibueze popularized as Bitcoin Chief recently took to his X account to voice his strong opposition to plans of relocating internally displaced persons (IDPs) from the northern region of Nigeria to the Southeast.

In a bold statement, Chibueze declared, “We will resist with everything in us in an attempt to bring IDP from the North to settle in the Southeast!”

Chibueze’s post highlights growing concerns among some in the Southeast about what they perceive as a long-standing imbalance in the treatment of their region by the Nigerian government.

“Our Father’s land has suffered enough at the hands of the Nigerian State and its internal Agents,” he wrote, expressing frustration with historical grievances against the Nigerian state.

The issue has sparked debates on social media, with many divided over the government’s plans for addressing the displacement of communities affected by insecurity in the North.

Bitcoin Chief’s remarks underscore the tensions surrounding this policy and the broader struggle over resource allocation and regional autonomy in Nigeria.
