Black Sunday: Catholic Parish Priest Shot Dead, Burnt Beyond Recognition in Niger

A Catholic priest Rev. Fr. Isaac Achi has been shot and burnt to dead at his residence in Niger State by gunmen suspected to be bandits.

The incident according to sources occurred on the early hours of today Sunday, January 15, 2023.

Achi was the parish priest of St Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Kafin Koro Deanary of Catholic Diocese of minna.

The Associate Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Colins Omeh who narrowly escaped sustained severe bullet wounds.

May his soul rest in peace.
