Idris Okuneye popularly known as “Bobrisky” is in the news again, and as usual, for obviously wrong reason. The young man who prefers to dress like a woman was nabbed by the Nigerian security agents for allegedly swindling some big amounts of money from a woman supposed to be her client.
9News Nigeria learnt that Operatives of the Inspector General Police (IG) Monitoring Unit arrested the notorious cross dresser, who have been in out of the police nets in recent time due to intermittent skirmishes between himself, the police and members of the public.
Okuneye was arrested around Lekki by a team of policemen from Abuja over alleged money issues with a woman who 9News Nigeria learnt entrusted some money ( ₦30 Million) into the hand of “Bobrisky” for a business proposal.
This arrest is coming months after the cross dresser was detained by the police over disagreement with an Abuja-based public official.
Although details of the present case were still sketchy at the time of this report, it was gathered that the policemen who entered Bobrisky’s white Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) had made their mission known to the Lagos State Police Command before proceeding.
The controversial cross dresser recently had an altercation with a Nigerian woman in diaspora over sales and sponsorship for artificial eyelash brand.
It was gathered the policemen first took Bobrisky to a police station on the island where he was allegedly detained for a while and later granted bail.
Confirming his arrest, police spokesman DCP Frank Mba said a woman petitioned the police alleging the cross dresser of N30m fraud.
“Yes, Bobrisky was arrested in the early hours of today following a petition by a Nigerian woman that the cross dresser collected N30m from her for sales but did not keep to the end of the deal.
“Bobrisky was granted bail but the case is still an active one. It is a case under investigation,” he confirmed.
