Nigerian’s Vice President, Kashim Shettima, has strongly condemned the recent bomb attack at a Mosque in Gamboru Market, Maiduguri, Borno State, which left five dead and several others injured.
Shettima warned that the perpetrators will face the full force of the law, noting that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has directed heightened security operations across the state in response to the incident.
In a statement, the Vice President confirmed that the Federal Government is sending additional elite security personnel to track and apprehend those responsible, stressing that the government will not tolerate any attempt to undermine peace or national security.
Expressing sympathy, Shettima extended condolence to the Borno State Government and the families of the victims, reaffirming that the Tinubu administration will continue to provide full support to security agencies in the fight against terrorism, especially in Nigeria’s northeastern region.
