The Borno State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency, BOSCHMA, has introduced an electronic business plan system to eliminate the stress of manual documentation for primary healthcare facilities in remote communities.
The Executive Secretary of the agency, Saleh Abba Kaza, unveiled the system on Thursday in Maiduguri during a one-day sensitization workshop on the electronic business plan for Basic Health Care Provision Fund, BHCPF, -supported facilities.
Kaza said the innovation will allow facilities in hard-to-reach areas to submit their business plans electronically without traveling to Maiduguri.
He said the workshop, organized for facilities in Northern and Central Borno, was designed to strengthen coordination among stakeholders and improve service delivery to beneficiaries.
“We believe that if we are able to establish a good relationship and understanding among all actors, the beneficiaries will be served better,” he said.
He disclosed that the agency disbursed about N300 million to 176 primary healthcare facilities across the state in the last three months, and that more than 200,000 people have so far been enrolled in the BHCPF scheme.
Participants at the workshop also reviewed the performance of the third-quarter 2026 fund disbursement and bottlenecks affecting submission of facility business plans.
Kaza said a similar engagement will be held in Biu for facilities in Southern Borno.
