President Muhammadu Buhari is scheduled to meet with all the Senators elected under the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, tonight at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The meeting, which is billed to take place at 9 pm, is coming barely 24 hours after 14 senators previously in the APC defected to the rival Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
It is not known whether Senate President Bukola Saraki will be attending.
Mr Saraki is embittered over the security siege laid on his residence and that of his deputy, Ike Ekweremadu, on Monday.
