As what appears like joke or cheap blackmail according some supporters of the People Democratic Party – DPP when they found a banner bearing the name and symbol of their political party hoisted at Ikot Ekpene township Stadium, venue of Senator Godswill Akpabio declaration to run for the 2023 Presidential election.
The banner hung early before the commencement of the event at the VIP wing of the stadium, shows solidarity of the People Democratic Party – PDP for the aspiration of the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs in his 2023 Presidential ambition.
The solidarity of the People Democratic Party – PDP on the banner reads: “People Democratic Party Akwa Ibom State Chapter in support of His Excellency Chief Dr. Godswill Akpabio for President 2023”.
Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio was the Governor of Akwa Ibom State from 2007 to 2015 under the People Democratic Party – PDP. He was elected Senator under PDP in 2015. He defected to the All Progressive Congress – APC on August 8, 2018.
