A District Court in Abuja Orders Mr. Ikeagwuonu Ugochinyere the Accused person in a case of criminal defamation to appear in person or face arrest in a suit with criminal charge no WZ6/CR/30/2022…NZE CHINASA NWANERI VS Mr Ugochinyere Ikeagwuonu aka (Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere), on the next adjourned date for his trial.
The court expressed disappointment with the absence of the alleged criminal, Ugochinyere as an affront and disrespect and in his ruling the court dismissed the preliminary objection raised by defence counsel to the accused.
The court ordered the Accused, Mr Ugochinyere to appear before it to answer to the charge of criminal defamation preferred against him pursuant to S. 391 of the Penal Code Law, failure which will necessitate a warrant for his arrest to be issued by the court.
Unfortunately, this is coming up at this critical time when the festive season is at hand and the electioneering is close.
