Following the local government upcoming elections scheduled to hold in Imo State Inline with the schedules of INEC, APC leadership has observed certain crooked up endorsement of candidates by over ambitious and anxious political leaders in the party.
Some wards and LGAs are maneuvering the existing laws and orders of the party and have continued to sabotage the aspirants and suck their pockets in the name of endorsement and fake mock primaries.
Certain leaders are spotted involving in shady deals to rubbish the leading All Progressives Congress Party at the grassroots.
In some wards visited , our correspondent reports that some political leaders have already chosen their preferred stooges and money carrier aspirants as the outcome of concocted mock elections.
Some wards and communities are battling for zoning pattern to fix in the worst bet against the preferably aspirants of the electorates in the areas. Governor Hope Uzodinma has earlier told APC members and Imolites at large to utilize this golden opportunity to fix the right aspirants.
Our News desk has therefore confirmed the open release made available to 9News Nigeria by the CAJETAN DUKE, JP, the State Publicity Secretary of APC.
“The attention of the State Working Committee of our great party has been drawn to a disturbing trend where some individuals within the party are attempting to subject our candidates to unauthorized screening, extortion and mock primaries.
“This actions are not only undemocratic and unhealthy but contrary to the party’s established guidelines and procedures.
“We strongly condemn these nocturnal and clandestine activities, which are deliberately designed to undermine the party’s democratic processes.
“We warn those individuals involved in this unauthorized exercise to desist immediately, as we will not hesitate to take disciplinary action against anyone caught engaging in such activities, regardless of their position or status within the party.
“Our party is committed to upholding the principles of democracy, fairness, and transparency in all our activities. We will not allow any individual or group to compromise these values.
“We urge all aspirants and stakeholders to disregard any invitation or solicitation to participate in these unauthorized screening, extortion and mock primaries.Let’s be guided accordingly.
