Bandits in the early hours of yesterday,17th June, 2024, attacks the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps {NSCDC} Headquarters Lafia, Nasarawa State.The Bandits came in numbers, 9News Nigeria report.
In what seems like a twist of event; during the Sallah celebration yesterday,bandits were busy attacking NSCDC Headquarters I’m Lafia shooting sporadically.No casualties were recorded according to the command’s Public Relations Officer (PRO), Jerry Victor.
He said,the attackers came in an unspecified number,but were repelled by our gallant Men of the command.
According to Victor,the state commandant of the corps, Ismaila Abdullahi, had directed the intelligence unit to get to the root of the attack by apprehending the attackers, collaborators, and sponsors.
Investigation revealed that the bandits wanted to set some of their members in their custody free.
He added that the Bandits came in large numbers with Iron rods and made an attempt to break the command’s fence but gallantry were repelled.
The Command had since beefed up surveillance in and around their office to forestall future occurrences.
