ENUGU (9News Nigeria) – Report reaching 9News Nigeria has it that the Catholic Diocese of Enugu has suspended Father Mbaka over rigmarole brawls between Buhari’s aides and the catholic priest.

It was learnt that after deliberations, the catholic diocese issued a suspension order to Father Mbaka restraining him from carrying out official catholic church functions under the diocese but allowed him to continue with his adoration ministry activities.
The suspension of Father Mbaka will last for one month starting from May 3rd 2021.
Father Mbaka was said to have remained in the diocese for some time which led to his followers protesting and destroying properties at the diocese as they demanded for the release of the priest.
Later on, on Wednesday 5th May 2021, Father Mbaka emerged and returned to the Adoration Ministry ground where he addressed his already tensed followers thereby inciting them against the Catholic Bishop of Enugu state accusing him of collaborating with the politicians against him.

These criticisms drew back and forth countering war of words between the cleric and President Buhari’s aides.
