The Niger republic Coup leaders have apologised for not according the team sent by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, led by Former Head of State, General Abdulsalami Abubakar (rtd) the required attention because they were angry about the ECOWAS ultimatum.

Niger: The Coup Junta has agreed to submit to the call by Islamic Scholars who pleased with them to as a matter of importance, to seize fire and resort to ECOWAS and Nigerian government demands for peaceful resolution.

This acceptance to intensify the option of dialogue than war has been applauded by the majority of world power and the generality of the African continent to make peace in Niger Republic as demanded by the Islamic Scholars and ECOWAS.

ECOWAS and Nigerian government will be highly commended by the unrelenting efforts of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR and his team to stamp down coup d’etat in a democratic state.

Recall that unrest broke out in Niger Republic when President Bazoum was overthrown by the military Junta few weeks ago and the situation has continued to linger despite all efforts by ECOWAS and Nigerian government to restore peace in Niger.

The President Tinubu’s led team did not stop at that but has continued to proffer possible solutions till the later when the Islamic leaders met to add their voices.

Such high decree of respect accorded to the Islamic leaders by these juntas or better still Coup leaders is highly commendable and if such step will be taken to caution the dreaded Boko Haram extremists and continuous militancy and killings across the shores of Africa, automatically, absolute peace will likely be restored as 9News Nigeria gathered.

However, Niger Republic coup leader, General Abdourahmane Tchiani agrees to dialogue with ECOWAS after his meeting with Nigerian Islamic Scholars led by the national leader of Jama’atu Izalatil Bid’ah Wa Iqamatus Sunnah (JIBWIS), Sheikh Abdullahi Bala Lau in Niger Republic

According to Niger Republic’s Prime Minister, Ali Mahamane Lamine Zeine, General Tchiani gave the green light for talks with ECOWAS and was optimistic the talks with ECOWAS would take place in the next few days.

In his words, “We have agreed and the leader of our country has given the green light for dialogue.

“They will now go back and inform the Nigerian President what they have heard from us. We hope in the coming days, they (ECOWAS) will come here to meet us to discuss how the sanctions imposed against us will be lifted,’’ he said.

Our reporter reveales that the reactions of the people towards this development on the call by Islamic Scholars has left wounded wonders in the minds of many Nigerians who thought ECOWAS cannot be recognized under Tinubu.

Nigerias intervention team

Nigeria’s Intervention Team comprising prominent Islamic scholars in the country at the weekend met with the coup leaders in Niger where both parties agreed to intensify the option of dialogue in resolving the political crisis in that country.

Dialogue is dialogue whoever can reach to a man with a gun and get his ear is a very good development because war is not the answer.

While acknowledging the role of the Islamic scholars, It is encouraging to see leaders coming together for peaceful discussions. Such efforts pave the way for understanding and cooperation”

Gratitude goes out to the Islamic scholars for their impactful intervention and acceptance in this political matter. Their involvement in fostering dialogue showcases the significance of unity and collective efforts in addressing complex issues”

The Islamic Scholars can do the same thing or take the same step to talk to their children back home in Nigeria that has turned bandit and Boko Haram. That will also give the Scholar a good credit too, a renowned nationalists posited.

The leaders have also apologised for not according the team sent by President Tinubu led by former Head of State, General Abdulsalami Abubakar (rtd) the required attention because they were angry about the ECOWAS ultimatum.

Until then, when this talk will be put to action and sanctions lifted as agreed by both groups , 9News Nigeria will be keeping our readers abreast of the latest development.
