The IGP has been ordered by the Kogi State High Court to hold EFCC Chairman Abdulrasheed Bawa in Kuje Prison for 14 days, 9news Nigeria reports.
Ali Bello has brought the head of the anti-graft agency before the court over the claim that he was unlawfully arrested and held by the EFCC, and it was claimed that Bawa defied the court order asking him to submit an application in the matter.
Justice Rukayat Ayoola of the Kogi State High Court granted the EFCC Chairman’s plea to be punished to jail for ignoring a court order given on November 30, 2022 for him to produce the case’s petitioner, Ali Bello.
