Breaking: Detained Plateau’s social media critic, Samuel Bature pleads not guilty to all three charges levelled against him

The prosecution counsel tells the Court it will be presenting witness If allowed in the course of the week and the defense says it has an application for bail for the defendant.

The defendant ‘s counsel says it is disposed to returning this week If their application for bail is not denied.

The prosecution says it received the bail application only at 8:59am and has to go through it. Moreso, the defendant has not pleaded guilty to the Court charges and is opposed to the bail application.

The defendant counsel have agreed to Friday 4th of October, 2024 to return for the hearing on bail application.

The defendant will be remanded until Friday when the hearing will resume.

Samuel, a social media critic was detained for speaking out against Governor Mutfwang’s luxury vehicle purchase, questioning the government’s priorities amidst widespread hunger and deprivation in the state.

However, keen observers have noted that the ugly incident is a deliberate ploy to soil the Governors reputation.
