Armed men suspected to Ebubeagu Operatives have allegedly ambushed the Governorship Candidate of All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Professor Benard Odoh in Ebonyi State.
9News Nigeria correspondent gathered that the ugly incident happened at Okpoto in Ishielu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.
Speaking with our correspondent, the spokesperson of the Odohzhia campaign, Mr Charles Otu said “bullets rained on APGA Ebonyi State Chapter Governorship candidate Prof. Benard Ifeanyi Odoh as Ebubeagu aimed to kill him tonight at Okpoto, Ishielu LGA!”.
According to him, “5 persons in the Odohzhia Ebonyi team are still missing while driver is bleeding right now near Rest House, Ishielu LGA after Ebubeagu attack!”.
“APGA Ebonyi State Chapter Governorship candidate Prof. Benard Ifeanyi Odoh ‘s driver has been reported dead due to bleedings from the Ebubeagu attack!”.
“A backup pilot Hilux vehicle on Prof. Benard Ifeanyi Odoh ‘s convoy was also set ablaze by the armed militia that attacked his convoy late at evening hours!.”
As at the time of filing this report, efforts by 9NEWS NIGERIA to get the reaction of Ebubeagu Commander in the state proved abortive.
