Breaking: FG increases NYSC monthly allowance from N33,000 to N77,000

In a significant development, the Federal Government of Nigeria has approved an increase in the monthly allowance of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) from N33,000 to N77,000.

The adjustment aligns with the recent enacted National Minimum Wage (Amendment) Act, 2024.

The announcement was made in a letter issued by the National Salaries and Incomes Commission’s Chairman, Mr Ekpo Nta, confirms the implementation of the new allowance, which is expected to take effect immediately.

Further details regarding the disbursement and implementation process are yet to be released.
