One of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) offices in Zamfara State’s Kaura Namoda Local Government Area has been destroyed by fire, 9news Nigeria learnt.
According to local sources, the fire began around 9 p.m. on Monday and razed nearly the entire structure.
“We quickly called the fire department, but they only had one truck for the entire Kaura Namoda, so they could not put out the fire – a situation that resulted in the destruction of all the valuables in the office,” he lamented.
It was discovered that firefighters arrived on the scene to put out the fire, but their efforts were futile due to a lack of water in their tank.
