First Bank of Nigeria has reduced working hours because of the increasing cost of diesel, 9news Nigeria learnt.
It is expected that other banks in Nigeria may follow suit in cutting working hours as the predicament of power failures and continuous surge in fuel prices.
Banks in Nigeria have recorded high costs in the day to day running of official banking activities as a result of the high cost of substituting electricity power supply with diesel generators.
It is therefore expected that as the First Bank has truly been the first to take the step of cutting hours of official daily banking activities, other major banks may follow suit.
