The immediate past Governor of Delta State, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, has reportedly been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
As of the evening of November 4, 2024, sources indicate that Okowa is being held in the EFCC facility in Abuja, facing allegations of financial embezzlement.
At this time, a press statement from the EFCC regarding the arrest has not yet been released.
