Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has dissolved the State Executive Council (SEC) comprising his commissioners and sacked Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Barrister Muhammad Aliyu-Ubandoma with immediate effect.
He also sacked his Senior Special Advisers and Personal Assistants.
9News Nigeria correspondent reports that the decision was announced by the Governor at a special emergency meeting on Friday night, shortly after the Vice President Kashim Shettima, who in the state for one-day working visit.
A top government official who preferred anonymity said although the exact reasons for the action were not clearly stated, but the governor was known for restructuring the state’s administration.
Our correspodent reports that in 2021, governor Sule dissolved the State Executive council, citing the need for more effective and efficient governance structure in the state.
