Following pressure from top Democrats, the President of United States of America, President Joe Biden has stepped down from the presidential race.
Biden made his intention known in a statement on Saturday seen by 9News Nigeria.
According to him, the decision to quit the race is in the interest of his party and country.
“While it has been my intention to seek reelection, I believe it is in the best interest of my party and the country for me to stand down and focus solely on fulfilling my duties as President for the remainder of my term,” he said.
