Few hours ago suspected hoodlums set a Police station in Ihitte/Uboma LGA in Imo State ablaze and disappeared without the policemen on duty grabbing them in the act.
Information revealed to the press has it that few persons were confirmed dead with many others who sustained various degrees of injuries.
The situation according to our source has turned everyone in the area into serious fear mode because no one knows where they will attack next…
Also, the Policemen in Ihitte/Uboma have deserted the place to avoid a further attack while awaiting further reinforcement.
It is a call to officers on duty to be on alert and stop commercialising our stations, citizens hinted. They further insisted that “If officers are on security alert from the entrance to their offices, I believe these men can not be having fun time burning police stations.
Now, Government will channel another fund in rebuilding the stations and we all will still be mourning that projects and other nagging issues in the society are yet to be taken care of”
A call to the DPO of the police state proved abortive as at the time of this report while our reporters have continued to get to the root of the matter.
