Report reaching 9news Nigeria has it that Nigeria’s Minister of state for environment, Alhaji Ibrahim Usman Jibrin has resigned after emerging Emir of Nasarawa.
He tendered his resignation on Wednesday at today’s Federal Executive Council presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari.
A valedictory session was held for him.
At the start of the meeting, Buhari referred to Jibrin as “Your Highness”, causing general laughter in the council chamber.
Jibrin was appointed as the Minister of State for Environment in December 2015 when the council was constituted after a senate screening and confirmation.
9news Nigeria sources in the state house informed us that Jubrin immediately left Asorock after the meeting.
In attendance at the meeting are the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, National Security Adviser, Babagana Monguno, Head of Service, Winifred Oyo-Ita and 25 ministers.
