High Chief Dumo Lulu-Briggs is the 2023 Rivers State governorship candidate of Accord.
He filed a petition against the outcome of the election.
But in his 202NeweYear message, Chief luLulu-Briggsnnounced that he has withdrawn his appeal at the Supreme Court against the outcome of the governorship election.
The statement, signed by Nia’Bari Fakae, hid
Senior Special Assistant (Media), the Kalabari High Chief said that the gesture was his contribution to to reducing tension in an overheated Rivers polity.
According to him, it is a token of his commitment to a peaceful Rivers State.
High Chief Lulu-Briggs lamented that 2023 was a very difficult year for many Rivers people during which their livelihoods and security were compromised.
He warned that the ongoing political crisis in Rivers State, if not halted, would further worsen the lot of the people.
He h, however, commended Rivers people for standing resolute against undemocratic and unconstitutional tendencies while wishing them a happy new year.
