BREAKING: Nasarawa Lift Ban On Worship Centres For Two Weeks

The Nasarawa State Government has announced the lifting on the ban on Mosques and Churches for a period of two weeks.

This was part of the resolutions arrived at during the critical stakeholders meeting to review measures put in place to combat the further spread of the dreaded Coronavirus pandemic, which held at the Government House, on Tuesday.

State Commissioner for Information, Tourism and Culture, Comrade Dogo Shammah, who chaired the press briefing at the end of the meeting however gave conditions for the opening of Mosques and Churches in the state.

Imams and clergies have been mandated to ensure strict compliance to regulations put in place to enable the opening of worship centres.

Specifically, they are to ensure that social distancing, the use of face masks and frequent washing of hands with sanitizers by all those attending either the Mosques or Churches.

Comrade Shammah said the lifting of the ban will be reviewed at the end of the two weeks, based on the compliance with the stipulated guidelines.
